Job Scam Email On LinkedIn

Job Scammer on Linkedin

Wanted to take a minute to warn my fellow LinkedIn Brothers and Sisters that there is a jobs scam underway. If you get an unexpected message from a profile offering a job to represent an overseas company to ignore it. Unless your seasoned and savvy enough to do a little digging to establish legitimacy, you may get roped into the scam.

What The Job Scam Looks Like

I got an inmail a few days ago from a guy claiming the company he represents needs a US representative. While I do have better things to do, I played along with the idiot to determine how far he’ll go. The sender of the inmail goes by ‘Charles Alford – Electrical Engineer at Charles Koch Foundation.

Here is his LinkedIn Profile: – https://www.linkedin.com/in/charles-alford-a2167914a/

The following is the message he sent me; I’m sure some of you may have also heard from this retard.

My Response To The Job Scam Scammer

—————– BEGIN MY RESPONSE —————–

Your website was registered in July 2017 = Red flag

Your company was established in 1979 according it the website content, but does not have a legitimate TLD from country of origin, and nor does it have any real search engine presence = Red Flag

Your website does not even have legitimacy with its content

You refuse to talk about the opportunity = Red Flag

Your linkedin profile is trash and recently created = Zero contacts = Red Flag

Your linkedin profile heading has you as an “Electrical Engineer at Charles Koch Foundation” but your current employment has you listed as a “Human Resource Consultant” = Red Flag

You are more stupid than you may think

This is a scam and sounds like a dream job to represent your fake company to collect funds from US clients and then keep a portion while sending the rest to someplace. But only if I pay a signup fee or some such nonsense

Do us all a favor, get a real bloody job and stop wasting everyone’s time.

You’ve been reported to LinkedIn for attempting to scam
