1996

August, 1996

Our roots go back to our humble beginning in an apartment in San Jose, California. iTenol Consulting emerged and morphed out of a company originally founded by serial entrepreneur and technology enthusiasts Neil Patel in 1996. Offering small and mid-sized businesses critical and mission essential IT services. The company focused on project outsourcing and break fix needs of small businesses.

2000

June, 2000

The company evolved into the provider of choice for home builders nationwide, at our peak servicing over 40,000 workstations for a number of home builders in CONUS.

2002

February, 2002

Pioneer and early adopter of web based applications. Developed custom internal helpdesk solution to cater to the growing client needs across the US. Also developed a number of adapters and integrations between popular helpdesk support systems to directly interface and delivery exceptionally fast response times to our clients support needs.

A huge success with our client as this eliminated the need for the client to submit a support request externally into our helpdesk. Helpdesk automation features included auto assignment of tickets based on location, matching skill profile of the task to the availability of a technician all without any human interaction. Our helpdesk also rerouted tickets on a round robin basis to ensure prompt response and resolution to the clients needs.

2003

February, 2003

Due to our growth and acquisition of a number of large contracts with regional home builders in the mid-west and south, We relocated from Milpitas, California to Houston, Texas in an effort to be able to serve our growing list of clients across all US time-zones.

2007

April, 2007

Expanded beyond the construction and real-estate vertical markets to cater to manufacturing, non profits and professional service such as law and finance.

2009

June, 2009

Company officially spun off and formed as iTenol Consulting. With a focus on Business Transformation, IT Managed Services, Cloud Service, and Project Consulting.

2010

January, 2010

Began 1st phase of building out our very own VoIP services and network to meet the growing needs of our clients who wish to ditch the ball and chain of their broom closet PBX in exchange for a feature rich VoIP phone service. Unlike many of our competitors who were reselling other big box VoIP solutions, we chose to build ours from the ground up. Features of our VoIP services rival those of the big box companies, with two major difference as show below.

 

  1. Fast response to all service and change requests
  2. Custom integration to any payment processing service to enable bill pay via phone. Something big box phone companies to this day can offer to small business

2012

July, 2012

Began 2nd phase of expanding our VoIP service and network network capabilities to meet the continuous needs of clients. Primarily focused on high availability, redundancy and quality of service improvements. In addition to core infrastructure improvements, we also built our VoIP client portal to enable our VoIP client to perform any self-service functions such as password resets, new device auto-provisioning, call forwarding and group call distribution settings. Doing any of these functions with the big box VoIP providers meant calling and bouncing between departments and techs and then waiting to speak with the right person easily would take a minimum of 30 to 60 minutes at best.

2015

May, 2015

Expand our private cloud and dedicated server hosting to our client's who were still untrusting of the public cloud services and providers. Our private cloud solutions included dedicated server and virtual private server offering to rival even the toughest price point. While other providers were offering VPS services and shared hosting from $20 to $150 per month, our dedicated servers start at $90 per month and our virtual private servers from $10 per month.

2017

October, 2017

Due to the rapid adoption, and trust in the public cloud, and high demand from local US based companies looking to lower their IT TCO, and drive bottom line results by moving out of the datacenter business. iTenol began expansion of its service delivery and cloud migration factory capabilities to India (Ahmedabad and Mumbai).  Doing so provides our client a reliable and skilled workforce at a lower price point, enabling faster migration and better support turn around times due to time zone and availability of the right resources at the right time.
