I am planning to look into taking a class of computer repair in the future. All i really want to learn is how to repair them but I dont know what these classes might be called. Schools seem to have fancy names for anything now. I live in South Texas any help is appreciated.

As a general term, maintenance refers to keeping the computer running. It is “maintaining” it after all. This can include hardware as well as software.
Support specialist usually is someone who works with software more than hardware. Typically support specialists work with users on resolving software/operating system issues.
If you do go into this field though, you will find that there are no concrete descriptions of what you will do… Most of us do at least a little hardware stuff, unless you are specifically a repair specialist. Then that would be all hardware.
My formal title is Network Engineer within my consulting company, but I do mostly software work with a bit of hardware thrown in from time to time.
